Thammasat Business School (TBS) is the second oldest business school in Thailand, established in 1938 and located at Thammasat University (TU), one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country, which has played a vital role in Thai social development.
Through a decade, TBS has served Thai society through its teaching and research innovation, while instilling “Thammasat Spirit”- a firm belief in rights, liberty, and justice- in its alumni.
The new vision and mission of TBS aim to build on this legacy of social progressiveness and academic excellence, while at the same time positioning the School to face the dynamic challenges and opportunities of the global business environment.

We are here to develop entrepreneurs, managers, and leaders with the capability to deal with the dynamic challenges of global business through research and internationalization.
These goals reflect the great vision of the School’s new executive management team: leading by the Dean, Assoc Prof Dr Ruth Banomyong, and the four associate deans, Assoc Prof Dr Sathaporn Opasanon, Assoc Prof Dr Peter Ractham, Dr Komn Bhundarak, and Dr Choochat Taeshapotiwarakun.
TBS is the only “Triple Crown” business school in Thailand, accredited by EQUIS in 2012, AACSB in 2015 and AMBA in 2018. The School has two campuses including Rangsit campus, for Thai undergraduate programs, and Tha Prachan campus for international and graduate programs. TBS continues to pioneer innovative business programs in Thailand including;
- international BBA
- Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business and Accounting (IBMP)
- MBA and Executive MBA
- Real Estate Management etc.
The School now has more than 150 partnerships with top business schools around the world. TBS is also the only Thai member of PIM (Partnership in International Management), the largest network for international student exchange, and remains the only signatory of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education). In 2019, TBS had the distinction of hosting the annual PIM Conference, with participants from over a hundred countries.
The excellence of TBS educational programs is also demonstrated by the numerous awards won by the students. Recent examples include the championship in the international RIC (Risk Intelligence Challenge) organized by Deloitte, and the winning of all five champion positions from five award categories in the YFS (Young Financial Star) organized by the Stock Exchange Thailand and its partners.
Internationalization is one of the most important parts of the TBS mission. TBS has 19 foreign faculties involved in research, teaching, executive and program directorship, bringing stronger visibility and responsibility to all international staff.
